March Madness!  See why March is a great time to dive in Palm Beach!

Danny McCauley Memorial

The Palm Beach Dive Association, along with Danny McCauley’s family, sunk the “Pocahontas,” a 110 Ft tugboat just North of the inlet.  The tug was renamed after Danny who passed away in an automobile accident exactly 1 year earlier than the sinking.  Danny was an avid freediver and loved spearfishing.

Say Goodbye to Lobster Season!

Lobster season is over at the end of March!  There are still lobsters out there waiting to be caught before the end of the month. Call today to reserve your spot before time runs out.  The season runs from August 6 to March 31 each year.  There is also a lobster mini season the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday in July.  During mini season, divers can legally take 12 lobster, in place of the normal 6 per day.

The Lemon Sharks Are In!

Only this time of year can divers see an aggregation of Lemon Sharks off of Palm Beach.  Lemon Sharks are one of the pelagics that visit Palm Beach during the year due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream.  Scientists believe that the migration is most likely related to the mating cycle.  They are in Palm Beach while the water is in the low 70s and leave when it warms.  Book your trip today while thy last!

It’s Turtle Nesting Season!

It is now turtle nesting season!  You can learn more about it at the Loggerhead Marine Life Center.  This is the time of year when it is more likely for divers to see Leatherbacks and Green turtles!  With over 50% of the Leatherback nesting taking place in Palm Beach county, this is the place to see them!
